Meditation.

"When you're connected to your center - your True Self - you have clearer perception, you make better choices, and you suffer less. Of you practice meditation regularly, you may find that unhealthy behaviours become less appealing, because they do not resonate with the wisdom of your True Self."

Strawberry Dreams.

Strawberries are in great abundance this time of year. Really good strawberries are dark red and smell delightfully fragrant. Here are a few recipes highlighting their sweetness.

Strawberry Dream Smoothie
1 pint Strawberries
5 Medjool Dates
Water from one Coconut

Soak the dates in the coconut water overnight, then blend with strawberries.

Strawberry Heaven
1 pint Strawberries
Juice from 10-12 Tangerines

Juice tangerines, then blend with strawberries.

Strawberry Romaine Salad
1 pint Strawberries
Romaine Lettuce
1 large Cucumber
Cherry Tomatoes

With a wooden spoon, lightly smash the strawberries in a bowl to make a dressing. Pour over chopped romaine, cucumbers, and tomatoes.

Orange and Spinach Soup.

Hello. Just wanted to share a raw creation that I made for dinner tonight. It was so simple, but so good.

Orange and Spinach SoupOrange and Spinach Soup

Blend 3 oranges together. Add another orange, 2 cups of spinach, and a handful of cherry tomatoes and pulse until mixed in.

Today:
Breakfast - Banana Mylk Smoothie*
Lunch - Banana Mylk Smoothie
Dinner - Celery-Carrot-Orange Juice, Orange and Spinach Soup, and 5 Blood Oranges.

To make it, add bananas and blend with water until it is the thin consistency of milk. It is so much sweeter than a thick banana smoothie and so good on the winter days.

Enjoy ♥

Energy Soup.

Finally I have found something tasty and super healthy that makes greens appealing and easy to eat. It's called Energy Soup. If you google it, you will find many different stories of healing associated with it (read one boy's miraculous story here). There are many different variations on the original recipe*. The one I have been making is as follows:

Energy Soup
1 cup of water or Rejuvelac
2 Apples, peeled and chopped
2 stalks of Celery, chopped
1 lb of mixed greens (Spinach, Romaine, Spring Mix, whatever you prefer)
1 tablespoon of Dulse (Seaweed) flakes (or 1 piece of Dulse

Place one cup of water, one of the Apples, one stalk of Celery, and the greens into the blender like so.

Blend until smooth. Lastly, pulse in the remaining Apple, Celery, and Dulse flakes to add crunch.

Voila!

Okay it looks kind of gross. But it tastes good and it makes you feel so alive. I make one for breakfast. I love it.

*The original recipe also suggests to add one avocado and bean sprouts, but I didn't add them.
